This room was nothing but an empty basement space, with washer and dryer sitting in the corner, on cold concrete floor.

The key was to created a lively and modern laundry room, separate from the mechanical components area, and also seamlessly connecting it to the adjacent home gym.

A glass panels door was the answer and a key architectural feature for the entire area.

For the cabinetry we chose inset shaker style, in custom shade of gray. Simple quartz countertops but dramatic encaustic tiles for the backsplash. Faucet and hardware in brushed brass completed the look.

Now doing laundry does not feel like a chore any longer ...
